Amuletos Sonoros (2018)
Sound Amulets
Generative Music / Net Art / Geo-locationSound Amulets is a series of digital artifacts containing generative musical compositions that behave as living entities. By connecting to the user's geolocation, the code alters the sonic properties of the piece in real-time, reacting to local meteorological phenomena such as temperature, wind, and humidity.
Originally conceived as digital talismans for personal protection and affection, the project investigates how algorithmic systems can mediate a poetic connection between the user and their immediate physical environment. The device does not merely play music; it reads the atmosphere and reorganizes its harmony to resonate with the present moment.
The Artifacts
Forged from the sonic archives of the band Pla. Its sonorities evoke a spirit of adventure and carefree detachment. The texture of the sound shifts drastically depending on the ambient temperature.
Constructed as a digital homage to the rock genre. It seeks to induce states of mental clarity and eros. The arrangement decompiles and reorganizes itself based on local weather stability.
Created as a dedicated object of affection. It channels frequencies of courage. The harmonic density reacts to the atmospheric pressure of the listener's location.
